In MattihYahoo {Matthew} 27:48 we read “And about the ninth hour Yahooshua {Jesus} cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?””

It turns out that, as with so many items in the generally available Bibles, the translation of “Eli” is massively inaccurate.

Eli is derived from the Hebrew “Elohym” which accurately translates as “The Almighty”, or “Mighty One” when referring to Yah, the Almighty Creator, or “mighty one” when referring to any other being.  All of these words are generally translated “God” or “god” which is a pagan word that bears absolutely zero correlation to the original Hebrew and which is a gross insult to the Creator!

Eli is a term of endearment that is most accurately translated “my Beloved Mighty One” or, in this particular situation “my Darling” as a reflection of the deep relationship that Yahooshua had with Father Yah at that time.

It is important to understand that what triggered this exclamation was the withdrawal of Father’s Set-Apart {Holy} Spirit from Yahooshua so that Yahooshua could die.  The level of Yahooshua’s Anointing with the Set-Apart Spirit was such that it was not possible for him to die and he would have remained on the Stake {NOT Cross} for days in agony if  Yah had not withdrawn His Spirit.

That said, my key point is that the term “Eli” is a term of endearment towards Yah that is used by any person who has a close relationship with Yah.  Another form is “El”.

Further consideration of this point reveals that there are 68 words in the books from Bereshith {Genesis} to Malaki {Malachi} {The Old Testament} which occur in total approximately 3,202 times that begin or end with “Eli” or “El”, the most common is YsraEl {Israel}, the name of the father of the tribe of YsraEl whose name means “he who struggles with my Beloved Mighty One” which occurs about 2,499 and which is the name of the nation of YsraEl today.

In late 2023 I undertook a detailed project to make this visible as the ETI Bible Version and this can be seen on the webpages under the page “Bereshith {Genesis} to Malaki {Malachi} {The Old Testament}” at https://www.etimin.org/the-eti-bible-version/bereshith-genesis-to-malaki-malachi

In the last few weeks I have undertaken an in-depth analysis of this version assisted by Chat GPT:

 - I have extracted all the verses that include “Eli…”, “…Eli”, “El…”, “…El” these verses can be seen on the webpage “Verses with Eli and El (Beloved Mighty One) in the Old Testament” at  https://www.etimin.org/the-eti-bible-version/yah-as-beloved-mighty-one-in-the-bible/verses-with-eli-and-el-beloved-mighty-one

 - On the webpage “Count of Eli and El per book in the Old Testament” at https://www.etimin.org/the-eti-bible-version/yah-as-beloved-mighty-one-in-the-bible/count-of-eli-and-el-per-book you will find a statistical analysis of the total occurrence of names including “Eli” and “El” either at the beginning or the end of the word in each book with statistics for each.

 - On the webpage “Names including Eli and El per book in the Old Testament” at https://www.etimin.org/the-eti-bible-version/yah-as-beloved-mighty-one-in-the-bible/names-including-eli-and-el-per-book you will find a list of all the Hebrew names including Yah on a book by book basis.

 - On the webpage “Meaning of names including Eli and El --> Beloved Mighty One” at https://www.etimin.org/the-eti-bible-version/yah-as-beloved-mighty-one-in-the-bible/meaning-of-names-including-eli-and-el--beloved-mighty-one  you will find a list of the 68 Hebrew names that include Eli and El, together with their English equivalents as given in the King James Version of the Bible (KJV) as well as the meaning of each of those names.  The total count of these names is 3,202.  These names are also listed below.

What I ask you to take note of is that this analysis clearly demonstrates that Yah was an intimate part of the lives of the Hebrew people of the tribe of YsraEl,  you may have some variances of transliteration and Hebrew pronunciation but the fundamental reality of “Beloved Mighty One” is beyond dispute.

I testify that the Almighty Creator has clearly advised me that “Beloved Mighty One” is the most accurate rendering of “Eli” and “El” in English.  There is NO other valid interpretation.
