Preamble

Good day!

 

The Almighty Creator Desires a Deep Personal Relationship with You! If you die as an Unbeliever, your spirit will live for a very long time as a disembodied Ancestor Spirit or Demon. The Creator has said regarding Unbelievers, "Why would I want someone to spend Eternity with me when they do NOT Believe I exist?"

 

If you die as a Believer without any form of relationship with the Creator, you will end up in the Outer Darkness – a cold, black, terrible place with weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth (your teeth) – the Trash Heap of Heaven. Father has said concerning such Believers, "Why would I want someone to be close to me in Heaven, which inherently means I will give them great prestige and authority, if they do NOT have a deep personal relationship with me and have NOT proven to me that they can be trusted in this life?"

 

In stark contrast, if you make a real effort to seek relationship with the Almighty, the rewards in the life to come are huge – a glorious resurrected body, great prestige, great authority, and a permanent close relationship with the Creator and with Yahooshua who you may mistakenly know as Jesus.

 

To put this all in context, The Almighty has said "I created Human beings, this planet and this universe for men and women to be my Friends, my companions, to explore and learn and develop together. My greatest grief is that almost NO person understands this let alone seeks such a relationship with me!"

Can YOU prove that the Bible IS The Holy Word of God? – Overview

 

At one stage I received a number of emails from a very committed Christian challenging certain statements I had made. His basic thesis was that I am contradicting what is contained in “God’s Holy Word,” i.e. the Bible and therefore I will burn in Hell for Eternity. This broadcast seeks to rebut this argument.

 

We will discuss a deductive approach – based on own experience.

 

I will then give you a Challenge.

 

I will note that I once believed the Bible to be the Word of God.

 

I will ask what is meant by “The Holy Word of God” and suggest a list of lies that are associated with it.

 

I will address the first lie, that “Bible” is a mysterious name.

 

Then the second lie that the entire Bible is “Inspired” that is dictation.

 

I will then address the lie that the entire Bible is scripted.

 

And that it is complete.

 

And closed.

 

Finally we will look at the state of YOUR relationship with the Almighty Creator.

 

Introduction

 

Who am I? – James Robertson. I have a Doctorate in Engineering and I am a retired Military Commander. I now work as a Management Consultant. I have over 30 years' experience of actively seeking to draw close to the Almighty following a dramatic encounter with Him on 12th March 1993 when He spoke to me audibly in a locked room and I knew for certain that He was real.

 

I was confirmed in the Anglican Church at the age of 13 and served as an Altar Boy for a number of years from the age of 19. Eventually, married to an Unbeliever, I became disenchanted with the hypocrisy in the Church and backslid to a point where I was not even sure the Almighty existed. In this backslidden state I embarked on an adulterous affair which, when it ended, left me desperate and suicidal. It was then that the Almighty spoke to me and I realized that my intellect had gotten me into a right mess and I chose to serve Him faithfully for the rest of my life.

 

In doing this I applied my deep-seated aversion to failure borne out of an accident in early childhood coupled to my Engineering and Military training of rigour and preventing failure, to my seeking of knowledge about Father. This journey led to numerous supernatural experiences, prayers answered and clear communication with the Creator that forms the basis for what I teach in these programs.

2022.11.07 Can YOU prove that the Bible IS The Holy Word of God?

 

Some time ago I received a number of emails from a very committed Christian challenging certain statements I had made. His basic thesis was that I am contradicting what is contained in “God’s Holy Word,” i.e. the Bible, and therefore I will burn in Hell for Eternity. 

 

Ignoring his incorrect understanding of Hell for now I want to focus on his statements about “God’s Holy Word.”

 

Essentially his argument is that, based on his interpretation of certain passages in the New Testament, I am in error and leading others into error.

 

Where we end up is that I am saying “Yah (The Almighty Creator), told me” and claiming direct revelation whereas he is relying on the Bible which he holds to be inviolate and totally accurate and authoritative. When I point out weaknesses in the thesis that the Bible has these attributes he responds with his claims I am in error and condemned.

 

Folks, this is a challenging situation because this gentleman represents a large body of Christian believers who believe that the Bible is the Word of God. What I'm aiming to do in the next few minutes is to give you a reason to question whether the Bible really is the Word of God or whether it is simply a reliable history book.

 

About a week before writing the article on which this broadcast is based I decided to turn the situation around and started asking him to prove to me that the Bible IS “The Holy Word of God” or, in my languaging “The Set-Apart Word of Yah.” So far he has ignored my question and continued with his approach of telling me I am in error based on the Holy Word of God. Note that “Set-Apart” has a distinctly different interpretation from “Holy” as used by this person but that, again, is for another discussion.

 

Accordingly, I would like to ask YOU to consider “Can YOU prove that the Bible IS The Holy Word of God?”

 

I have addressed the topic of the veracity of the Bible in numerous articles over the years dating back to around 2001 when Yah first told me that the Bible was NOT His Word. But I have never addressed the question from this perspective.

So I have argued on a number of occasions from a variety of perspectives that the Bible is simply a useful history book and it does contain about 2.5% of inspired writing but most of it is simply a recording of the interpretation of various human beings of various situations. This is the first time that I've turned the question around and I want to look at what is inherent or implicit in the statement that the Bible is the Holy Word of God and many people say it is without error.

 

A deductive approach – own experience

 

Round about 2001 I got into an argument with the Editor of “The History Channel” on TV about the reality of the Creator. He was adamant that there is NO Creator and that the programs on his Channel on this topic constituted verifiable fact.

 

I responded with arguments from the Bible and citing various Believers that I considered authoritative. He responded that he attached NO authority to the Bible and that he regarded my authorities as Charlatans. It was clear I had lost the argument because I had NO response to his points.

 

So, I set myself to proving that there IS a Creator based on information that I could personally verify and substantiate and that a third party could ALSO personally verify and substantiate. So what I am advocating today is that whatever it is that you believe about the Bible you should be able to verify from your own experience. It is so that in terms of certain wrong thinking that people blame on the Bible that if they die with that wrong thinking, they will spend time in Hell paying price for their unrepented sin before they go to Heaven. So it's worth making sure and from a personal standpoint, you are absolutely certain that what you believe about the Bible is in fact verifiable and true.

 

So the e-book that I've just referred to used somewhat tortuous arguments to prove on a verifiable basis that the Creator existed – on completion I felt that I HAD achieved my goal although NOT as solidly as I had hoped.

I truly believe that if you're a critical thinker and you apply yourself to what's in that article, you will be convinced that the Creator exists.

 

Fundamental to both documents was a resolve to ONLY use references that I could verify from personal experience and/or from widespread usage as evidenced by Internet searches using Google as being accurate and valid. I encourage you to read the Essence article cited above to see what I am saying.

 

So my assertion there is that if you can find thousands of opinions on any particular subject, it's not necessarily true, but it is so that there is a lot of thinking along those lines and therefore there is some reason to give credibility to it. So I guess that if you took that route you will find thousands of references that the Bible is the Holy Word of God and you will probably also find thousands of references that it's not; I must admit I've never done that search.

 

My Challenge to YOU!

 

My challenge to you, IF you sincerely believe that the Bible IS “The Holy Word of God” or similar, is to use a similar robust line of argument to disprove my assertion that the Bible is “just an authoritative book about the historical interactions of human beings with the Almighty Creator over a period of about 5,000 years with about 2.5% of inspired text.” And most of the Bible covers a period of about 2,000 years from the time of Noah through to the time of Yahooshua.

 

So what I'm saying to you, one of the things that I did way back in 1993 after Father spoke to me, I was taken to a Christian church, they were all teaching from the Bible that the Bible was the Word of God, people were sitting there taking notes, taking notes in my Bible, marking up my Bible and I went to Father and I said "Father these people say that this is your word. It doesn't make any sense to me. Please explain it. I choose to believe that it is your word and I am asking you to answer all my questions."

 

I filled about 14 notebooks with questions over the next 8 years before He told me that it wasn’t His word. And I asked a lot of questions. So the Bible is a useful starting point for enquiry but the fact is that the answers to most of my questions were not in the Bible. I got those answers through books by other people, I got them through teachings from other people, I got them through first-hand revelation, etc., etc. The fact of the matter is that I got to a point where I had a very substantial basis of evidence to say that the Bible is an authoritative book about the historical interactions of human beings with the Almighty Creator, but it is not the Word of God and it is certainly not without error.

 

I Once Believed this to be True

 

In setting out this challenge I should note that I DO understand where people are coming from on this. In March 1993, on the brink of committing suicide the Almighty spoke to me out loud in a locked room and I knew with absolute certainty that He was real and that I was in serious error. I committed my life to Him wholeheartedly and, despite various ups and downs, I have remained more or less faithful to Him now for over 30 years at the time of this broadcast (14 July 2023).

 

At the time I was taken to a large Faith based Charismatic Christian Church and was deeply impacted by messages preached from the Bible with thousands of people studiously marking up their Bibles and making notes. I bought a nice leather bound Protestant New King James Bible the same day, which I still have and treasure, and held it up to Father and prayed something along the lines of “Father, these people say this IS Your Word, I do NOT understand it but I choose to believe that it IS Your Word and I ask you to answer ALL my questions.”

 

I should mention that probably 20 years before that when I was about 16 or so somebody had given me a Bible and told me it was the Word of God and I should read it and I started reading it and I got pretty much the way through Genesis and found that what was being said by the Bible and what was being said by the church didn't agree, so at that time I assume the church knew what they were talking about, so I abandoned reading the Bible. But in those 8 years between 1993 and 2001, I deeply took it on board that the Bible was the Holy Word of God, so please believe me, I do understand where you're coming from if that’s your belief and I'm speaking to you as one who has been corrected of that.

 

So as I said, in the next 8 years I read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation about 20 times in numerous translations and from Matthew to Revelation about a further 15 times. I also read Psalms and Proverbs daily to the extent of hundreds of times over those 8 years, probably even thousands of times. I totally believed the Bible WAS “The Word of God” and I freely used that term and based my writings on that principle constantly. 

 

I filled 14 x 100-page notebooks with questions and answers to questions and found answers through all sorts of people and situations, in some cases halfway round the world! I DEEPLY believed that the Bible WAS “The Holy Word of God!”

 

And yet today I am standing before you saying with equally deep conviction that the Bible is not the Holy Word of God and that I'm about to set out to give you a strong argument as to why I say that based on my own personal experience in a format that I hope and believe you will be able to critically examine and accept my argument.

 

What we have today with the Bible as the Word of God is that Bible is put on a pedestal. It's effectively worshipped. We have Bible schools, we have Bible study. People are preoccupied with the Bible when we're created to have a relationship with Father, not to have a relationship with a book. So if you have a relationship with a book and you don't have a relationship with Father, you're going to be so disappointed when you die.

Then, in 2001, having been on a series of fasts and been led down a path that revealed that there was massive errors in the Christian Church Father led me to a point where He caused me to read the Quran, which states that the Jews and Christians are in error worshipping the Bible. I got on my knees and asked if this was true and Father Yah clearly told me this IS true and that the Bible is NOT His Word. I started writing about this but it took me about 10 years to fully internalize this truth and it took me a further roughly 10 years to come to an increasingly deeper understanding of the significance of this – hence this broadcast. So that’s about 22 years ago that I made that shift in belief.

 

I will now elaborate on my interpretation of “Holy Word of God,” etcetera and then offer you my rebuttal to see if you can agree with me partially or completely.

 

What I'm trying to say to you right now is that what I'm about to share with you has not been arrived at lightly. I sincerely believe it to be true and I have strong conviction that I can evidence that it is true.

 

What is meant by “The Holy Word of God?”

 

Let me start my response by spelling out what I understand to be the inherent implications of “The Holy Word of God” and “scripture” as used by this individual and virtually the entire Christian movement to mean:

 

a.            Lie #1 – “Bible” is a mysterious name

 

The way many use the word “Bible” implies that this name has something mysterious about it.

 

b.            Lie #2 -- Dictation – Inspired

 

Father Yah gave every word as dictation to the people who wrote the text and there is NO human contamination.

 

c.             Lie #3 -- Scripted

 

The entire book was scripted – in other words, Yah set up every situation in a premeditated, planned fashion such that the participants were simply playing out a foreordained script. Our lives are like this today.

 

So there is a huge tendency amongst certainly Christians to believe that Father is walking them through life every step of the way. Father has a plan for them and that plan is working itself out in a way that implies that they don't have any control over it, that their decisions, etc., are all foreordained and we will talk about these points in a bit more detail in a few minutes. But I would ask you to give this serious thought because these are inherent implications in the Bible as the Holy Word of God.

 

d.            Lie #4 -- Complete

 

The book is complete and contains all that is necessary in terms of information required for Believers to live life as intended by the Almighty.

 

e.            Lie #5 -- Closed

 

The book is closed and contains the ONLY words spoken to humanity throughout the 6,000 years plus that humankind has walked the Earth. There is a canon of scripture. The canon of scripture is a closed body of writing represented by the Bible which in totality represents what Father has spoken directly to the body of believers.

 

f.             Lie #6 -- Accurate and without error

 

The book in its present form, typically the King James English Translation and derivatives, is accurate and without error.

 

That of courses is quite a strange statement. There are literally hundreds of different versions of the Bible, different translations and they all disagree with one another to some extent, just a verse here and a verse there, a particular word that is used in a particular sense and various things and most of them replicate the same basic errors, many of them are derived from the King James version with a less than extreme critical view on what that version is saying.

 

g.            Lie #7 -- Exclusive

 

The book is exclusive and the ONLY source of reliable information about the Creator and those who do not have access to, and have not taken on-board and adopted the “truths” contained in the book are condemned to destruction. It is NOT possible for a person who does NOT have the Bible and specifically the New Testament, to enter Heaven. And that’s very much the position of the gentleman that I was referring to earlier who writes to me and tells me that I am going to Hell because of the lies that I propagate about the Bible and about Jesus and so forth.

 

h.            Other

 

There are other nuances on the above, some people use the Bible in mysterious ways like swearing oaths on the Bible, using the Bible to answer Questions by randomly opening it, etcetera.

 

I will respond to each of these points in turn for your consideration. Before I do this I want to again ask you whether YOU can prove the above or whatever subset or super-set of the above that you subscribe to. If you CANNOT prove this then you are a liar if you claim that the Bible is “The Holy Word of God” and live your life accordingly and you will spend time in Hell for correction before you enter Heaven!

 

Folks, this is so, so important. There is a huge piece of religion and I am not talking here just to Christians, I am talking to all flavours of religion to believe that there is some other human being who has a closer relationship with the Creator and whose opinions are definitive. That's not the case. Father wants a deep personal relationship with you. Don't worry about me or anybody else. He wants a relationship with you. Why then would He leave you to rely on people you lived 2-3-4,000 years ago.

 

1.            Lie #1 – “Bible” is a mysterious name

 

The way the word Bible is used by some apparently assumes some sort of mysterious power to the word.

 

In contrast www.Dictionary.com regarding the Latin/Greek word from which Bible originates states:

“biblio-

a combining form occurring in loanwords from Greek (bibliography); on this model, used in the formation of compound words with the meaning “book” (bibliophile), and sometimes with the meaning “Bible” (bibliolatry, on the model of idolatry).”

Clearly “Bible” simply means “Book.” The Bible is a collection of writings in book form, that is ALL.

 

And that is so important folks. If you demystify the word Bible and just say this is a book, the book, if you like, a collection of writings by human beings, that’s a huge step in getting away from the lie that the Bible is the Holy Word of God. And I ask you to consider that. Bible simply means book. So when somebody says that the book is the Holy Word of God, please give that some thought.

 

2.            Lie #2 -- Dictation – Inspired

 

Inherent in the thinking of many who define the Bible as “God’s Holy Word” and “Scripture” and who refer to the “Canon of Scripture” is a belief that the Almighty Creator dictated the Bible word for word.

Speaking from my own experience, it IS possible to take dictation from the Almighty but it is NOT something that necessarily happens very frequently. This has happened to me twice in over 30 years and each time after substantial time and effort to draw close to Father.

 

Think about it. People say this Bible is Scripture. Scripture inherently means it's dictated by Father, which means premeditated and predefined. And if you have some familiarity with the Bible, if you have read the Bible from cover to cover a few times, I encourage you to recognise that the vast majority of the Bible is simply historical account of things that happened to people with relationships at some level with the Almighty and in some cases people with no relationship with the Almighty. It is simply a historical text. To suggest that is all inspired, dictated by Father, why? All you need is a few people who sat down and wrote down from memory and from observation some moderately accurate recounts of various situations that accounts for I don’t know, 80-90% of the Bible. It doesn't have to be the Word of God. And telling new believers that it's the Word of God sends them off chasing in the wrong direction.

 

a.            In 1994 in Malawi under a powerful Anointing, Father spoke through me to myself and three other men for about three hours in a situation where the only control I had over what was coming out of my mouth was to close my mouth. Even there the language that came out of my mouth was constrained by the language that I knew, so, for example, the word “cross” came out although I subsequently learned that Yahooshua died on a “stake.” See https://www.ETIMin.org/not-cross

 

So this was a dramatic experience. I had been building up to it for some time. Father anointed me powerfully at the beginning of the year and it was not premeditated, it was not planned on my side anyway. I missed my flight to go back to South Africa and I was in a bit of a grumpy mood to be quite honest. And then I was sitting there, these two pastors who brought me up and introduced me to their cousin who was the director general or something of the Assemblies of God we were just chatting and Father said to me "Tell them to move the coffee table." So I told them to move the coffee table and then I got up and I put on my hand to go and pray for him and I got to about 3 feet from him about a metre and he just fell, slain in the spirit. And then I knelt down over him and Father started speaking through me. And I don't think there was anybody in that room that was under any misapprehension that Father was speaking through me. And that went on for about three hours, I did the same with each of the other two men and then I sat down and Father started speaking to me through my own mouth.

 

That is the only time that I have experienced that level of inspiration, although I claim that a lot of what I write is inspired at some lesser level and that is what the Bible being the Holy Word of God would look like and I tell you, I've heard Father speak and I have read the Bible and there is a world of difference.

 

b.            Between August 2014 and January 2015 I was walking so close to Father that I was in almost continuous dialogue with Him. During this period He would give me concise statements on a wide range of topics which I would write down immediately in a pocket notebook and then type up. I then lost that anointing and close relationship as a consequence of issues in my marriage and have never recovered that closeness. If you read the items on this webpage, you will note a distinct DIFFERENCE in writing style, these items are clearly given by Yah.

 

If you read these passages and you know the Bible well, you will recognize that there are only a few passages with this level of inspiration, the rest are simply accounts written by human beings.

 

And the important thing to note is that in between recording these snippets, which were typically one or two paragraphs at a time, I just carried on with my normal day-to-day life. I wrote articles on the website, etc. They were not inspired at that level of intensity. And if you go to this Important Insights page on the website, you will find that the writing style is distinctly different to my writing style on the rest of the website. That's what true inspiration looks like.

 

In my over 30 years of walking reasonably close to Father, the above two incidents are the ONLY time that I have heard Father that clearly and written down or spoken out on His behalf with that level of anointing and inspiration.

 

That said, I contend that MOST of what is on my website IS inspired at a material level and under a material Anointing albeit with a material level of James interjected. In fact, I contend that much of what is on the website is MORE inspired than much of the Bible but that is for you to gauge!

 

So what I'm seeking to communicate here is that I have personal experience of Father dictating, speaking through a person. I have personal experience of Him speaking to me so clearly that I could write down exactly what He said to me and within the framework of that experience that has only happened twice in 30 years of walking close to Father. I therefore say from a first person experiential point of view, I don't think based on my experience that the vast majority of the Bible was written down under that level of inspiration, that level of anointing, and in fact most the Bible was not inspired at all. It is simply writings by human beings about things that they've observed potentially by people who were strongly anointed, but what I've seen repeatedly is that the people who observed strongly anointed ones such as myself don't understand what the strongly anointed ones are doing and therefore what's in the Bible is based very approximate.

 

3.            Lie #3 – Scripted

 

Also inherent in the concept of “The Holy Word of God” is the implication that the entire Bible is scripted. If Yah dictated every single word in the Bible then, inherently, the people who are described in the Bible were NOT exercising their own will and discretion, they were simply doing what this “Omnipotent, Omniscient God” was driving them to do.

 

So David was driven to commit adultery with Bathsheba and kill Uriah, Adam was driven to eat the forbidden fruit, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.

 

IF you stop and think about it, this is clearly ridiculous and it says some very harsh negative things about the Creator.

 

Fundamentally the people in the Bible were human beings doing their own thing to the best of their ability, making mistakes and some of the time some of them having a relationship with Father Yah at some level. In fact, it's not just the biggest error crippling mature anointed believers, it's the biggest error crippling believers.

 

In order for the Bible to be the Word of God, that implies that what the people in the Bible did was foreordained and appointed by Father. There is no way around that conclusion folks. If He spoke every word, if He directed the lives of those people, what's the point of it all? You're going to go where you are going to ago and you've got no saying, it's pretty pointless.

 

4.            Lie #4 – Complete

 

Another implication of the Bible being the “Holy Word of God” is that it leaves NO room for other inspired or Anointed writing, it is THE DEFINITIVE authority on all matters relating to the Almighty. There are significant number of believers who have actually believed that – Bible is definitive, it's complete.

 

This is evidently false, there are very few topics addressed directly by the Bible and a huge number of unanswered questions that the Bible does NOT address. 

 

Most of the issues on my website, running to close to 10,000 A4 pages are NOT addressed by the Bible and the website is by NO means complete, I am constantly identifying new articles and I have a backlog of hundreds of articles to write.

 

The ambit of the entire scope of your relationship with the Creator is massively, massively, massively huge compared to the Bible. And if you extend that to plus/minus 7 billion human beings alive today to over 100 billion people who have lived throughout all of history, the Bible is an infinitesimal fragment of the description of life on this planet to even begin to think that the Bible is complete and fully authoritative with answers to every problem is just so palpably absurd that I hope after listening to me, you will let go of that wrong belief.

 

5.            Lie #5 – Closed

This inherent implication of “THE Holy Word of God” indicates that there are NO other “Holy” books, so the Quran, the Avesta, the Book of Certitude, the Vedas and other books of other religions with some level of relationship with the Almighty are disregarded. Further, more recent books with some level of insight, inspiration and Anointing are ALSO disregarded.

 

The HUGE Error here is to believe that Yah ONLY has spoken to humankind through a few fragments of writing consolidated into the Bible and that is all.

 

There is a hugely important book, The Final Quest, and its companion volume The Call by Rick Joyner, which if you haven't read you need to read. Rick Joyner repeatedly asserts that his revelation is not part of the Canon of Scripture and therefore he records in the preface and sometimes he took two or three weeks to write down what happened and that he acknowledges that it is not as accurate as it might have been. That is tragic. Those are the most important revelations that I know of in recent generations and the person who took them took them lightly because they believed that the Bible was more authoritative than then, and if anything was shown to them that wasn’t in the Bible, they rejected it.

 

So I don't know what he was shown in his visions because his book is again just a minute fraction of his visions. I don't know what was shown to him that he disregarded because it didn't agree with his interpretation of the Bible. It's so sad folks.

 

So that's all I have got time for today. We will carry on with this next week.

 

What is the state of YOUR relationship with the Almighty Creator?

 

I would like to ask you to critically examine where YOU are relative to the Almighty Creator.

 

Do you talk to Him constantly throughout the day and allow Him to lead you in every possible way?

 

Are you conscious of Him at all times?

 

Do you worship Him at every opportunity?

 

Do you count Him as your FRIEND?

 

Have you clearly and unambiguously heard HIM CALL YOU FRIEND?

 

If not, you're FAILING in your life purpose and you will be bitterly disappointed when you die.

 

I really ask you to consider this. We live on the planet Earth, which is a minuscule fraction of the total universe. We are surrounded by billions of stars, billions of planets so they say, and it was all created with one reason – so that the Almighty could have friends, people who would be in relationship with Him, people who would talk to Him, people who would share what they were doing with Him, build things with Him, design things with Him, integrate Him into their lives. And almost nobody does that.

 

Folks, if you can get a fix on that, just get how tragic it is, He went to a huge amount of trouble to create this universe, the solar system, this planet, the plants and the animals and then us. And almost nobody makes an effort to become His friend. Almost nobody walks in that. It's so sad.

Show me what to read, show me what to watch and listen to, show me who to speak to, bring people across my path, open and close doors, guide me please. Amen."
